Lieutenant Eric Wallace Harris, Royal Garrison Artillery, was the only son of Mr. Wallace Harris, Solicitor, 43 Dame Street, Dublin, and Chelmsford, Avoca Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. He was educated at Avoca School, Blackrock, and Trinity College, Dublin. He obtained a commission in the Royal Garrison Artillery in November, 1914. In April last he was recommended for special acts of bravery on three different occasions, and a few weeks before his death he was offered his Captaincy, but preferred to remain with his old battery. He died on Nov. 4th, 1917, from wounds.
